Position Overview

We are looking for a talented Automation Test Engineer with expertise in API Automation using Rest Assured. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment in one of the following locations: Hyderabad, Chennai, or Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, particularly in API testing and web application testing.

• Experience: 5 - 9 years of relevant experience.
• Web Automation Tools: Proficiency in Selenium for web application testing.
• API Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation.
• Testing Frameworks: Experience with TestNG or JUnit.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for:

• API Testing: Developing and maintaining automated test scripts for API testing using Rest Assured.
• Web Automation: Creating and executing automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium.
• Framework Development: Designing and implementing test automation frameworks for both API and web testing.
• Integration Testing: Conducting complex integration tests to ensure seamless interaction between different components.
• Defect Management: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects to resolution.
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve testing processes.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Java.
• API Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation.
• Web Automation Tools: Proficiency in Selenium for web application testing.
• Testing Frameworks: Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• BDD Tools: Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in test automation.
