Job Responsibilities

As an Analog Layout Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Working independently on block-level analog layout design from schematics.
• Estimating area, optimizing floorplans, and conducting routing and verifications.
• Gaining firsthand experience in critical analog layout design of blocks such as temperature sensors, SerDes, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, bandgap, reference generators, charge pumps, current mirrors, comparators, and differential amplifiers.
• Debugging LVS/DRC and performing verifications for lower technology nodes like 14nm FinFET and below.
• Understanding matching, EM, ESD, latch-up, shielding, parasitics, and short channel concepts.
• Utilizing EDA tools like Cadence VLE/VXL, PVS, Assura, and Calibre for physical verification.
• Understanding layout effects on circuit performance, including speed, capacitance, power, and area.
• Implementing high-quality layouts based on design constraints.
• Providing support for multiple tape-outs.
• Exhibiting strong communication and critical thinking skills to resolve technical issues professionally.
• Ensuring timely execution and high-quality layout designs.

Key Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in mixed-signal layout design.
• Proficiency in analog layout and familiarity with process or technology experience in TSMC nodes (7nm, 5nm, 10nm, 28nm, 45nm, 40nm).
• Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso L, XL, and Calibre for DRC and LVS verification.
• Strong LVS/DRC debugging skills and understanding of layout effects on circuits.
• Experience with IO layout design is a plus.
